The Pagan ONeil House is one of the oldest residences in Saint Andrews. The frames and boards were brought here from Castine, Maine in 1783 by Loyalist leader Robert Pagan and the West wing was assembled in 1784. The East wing was added in the mid 1800s. It is an historically significant house, the exterior of which is protected by a covenant administered by Heritage Canada. The Pagan / Wyre family occupied the house for nearly 100 years, the ONeil family for the next hundred years and the present owner since 1977. This four bedroom, three and one half bath home is located in the historic plat, enjoys harbour views and is within walking distance of all Saint Andrews' amenities. The present owner has lovingly restored and renovated this gracious home which has both colonial and victorian design features. The cedar shake roof, high quality historic reproduction windows and doors, the flagstone patio, fenced lawn and gardens, and recently constructed four seasons sun room were designed to compliment the original architecture.
